I one issue that needs to be addressed is having the BarCamp in one room. It might be better if people felt free to come and go. What if people don't care for a topic, then they can at least network out in the lobby.
Regarding my "suggestion" for two events per year, I did NOT intend to "link" the "service-oriented" event to BarCamp. I was just responding to Neil's suggestion that we do something action-oriented IF we do something before the next BarCamp. That event can be "linked" to Indy Christian Geeks if it needs a "champion"
With regard to the next BarCamp, I think that we need some corporate sponsors so I intend to find some. That's probably the best reason why we need to wait until next year, but I would like to do it in January or February.
The thing I enjoyed the most was how the presentations weren't traditional one person talking to many. But that every presentation was more like an ongoing conversation.
I would like to see the presentations get more hands on. For instance, I really liked the Snap Foo presentation. But how would it have been to see some of their underlying code or automation processes (without giving away any trade secrets).
I wasn't able to attend in person, but streaming the event online was one of the best things you could have done. Being able to see how it went has inspired me to make sure I get a presentation together for the next time when I can come in person.
