BarCamp Indianapolis

Next Event: February 9th, 2008

for sure we need a camper sign-in, photo, and ID badge.

Should we collect presentations via thumb drives or set up a shared folder on the network?

Probably getting everyone on the presentation schedule should be part of the process somehow.

Here's a start, I'm sure there are better ways to do this...:
Tell person at desk who you are and what you're presenting on, gets typed into spreadsheet (google docs?)
Take Picture, collect presentation (external hard drive connected to registration computer or network share to presentation machine)
ID Badge - depends, do we have a printer on-site? (I could possibly bring one) If we do, we can create really nice badges with names and pictures typed and all in batches, or we can just have them done up before hand and just hand-write the names on them as they come in the door
Presentation schedule: as they come in or randomly done? Do we need to print it out as a handout, or will there be enough laptop concentration to call it good?

I would recommend waiting until a set time to do the presentation scheduling, that way it's not necessarily first-come, first-serve (and we can fight over the spots! yeah! :) That seems to kind of be the barcamp way, plus it will let us see easily who has similar topics and maybe team up. Since the first session is slated for 9:30 now, maybe start picking slots at 9:15 or 9:20.

I have a decent-sized white board (about 4' x 3') I can provide for that type of scheduling.

gregor, Will you then own the task of presentation scheduling?

Thanks bro.

Sure thing. I have no ideas for a presentation (guess I'm breaking the #1 rule? heh), so I'm glad to help out however I can. :)
